Psalm 90:14
"The Lord your God will change your heart and the hearts of all your descendants, so that you will love him with all your heart and soul and so you may live!"

About Me

I am a very blessed gal. The Lord gave me the opportunity to attend/complete graduate school in Speech-Language Pathology. He has now opened the door to a great job in a new town working with the geriatric population. There has been a few bumps in the road; however, I'm confident that He has big plans and will work out the details in time. Excited to see what He has up his sleeve next. Ephesians 3:20 "Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think."

Word of Day

Thanks dictionary.com for supplying new words to build my vocab. I decided I should start expanding my lexicon and this little online tool is going to help me do it. I'm starting out small....with one new word a day. Today the lucky word is.....

akimbo

  uh-KIM-boh  , adjective;
1.
With hand on hip and elbow bent outward.

Don't know how to pronounce it? Oh. Just click the little speaker icon. Seriously, how sweet is that!

I was going to attempt to show off my new knowledge by creating several sentences but it's harder than I imagined. Attempt 1: "With arms akimbo, I will search for motivation to attend the last few classes of the semester." It's pretty bad....I know. So I asked Jeeves, "how to use akimbo in a sentence." Don't judge. Apparently you can have arms or legs or turkey akimbo (who knew?). You can also 'choose the best weapon to akimbo on' or 'wait patiently with arms akimbo.' I'm sure it's more information than one ever wanted to know about the word 'akimbo' but maybe it will come in handy one day :)
